Alabama Driver's License
F-1 Students may apply for a Alabama Driver's License to use while here in the United States. There are some important things to note about the Driver's License application process; please review the following information below. Should you have any additional questions about applying for a Alabama Driver's License, please contact the Office of International Programs.
For most international students, you may not have a Social Security Number (SSN). However, as part of the Alabama Driver's License application, you will be asked to provide a Rejection Letter from the Social Security Administration (SSA) instead of a Social Security Number (SSN).
To receive a Rejection Letter from the Social Security Administration, please take the following documents with you to a Social Security Office.
